Barrence Whitfield & The Savages
A little later than planned, but here's a video of Barrence Whitfield & The Savages playing our first ever in-store captured by Agency Southend
Not only is it pretty amazing that Barrence and his Savages played here, them being one of my favourite bands and all, but the guitarist Peter Greenberg and the bass player Phil Lenker were both in seminal Boston punk band The Lyres! They both seemed a little confused that somebody from Essex, who's never set foot in Boston, firstly knew their first band so well and was a little awestruck to meet them. I made Peter have his photo taken with me after their gig that night, much to his bemusement. Neither of us look good in it though.
Anyway, as it all went so well, we'll definitely be doing more shows in the shop. Keep your eyes peeled for more, or join our mailing list, which you can find at the bottom of the front page of this site.
