On Thursday 15th May (our two month anniversary fact fans), Barrence Whitfield & The Savages drop by to christen our shop with our first ever in-store performance.   They'll be playing a short set from 5.30pm, before heading over to the Railway for a gig that evening.  Make sure you arrive early, as we're a small shop and can only fit in so many people! Record Store Day 2014

This Record Store Day, which takes place on Saturday 19th April, we make our debut! Throughout the day we'll have DJs, including Gregory Wells from Domino Recording Co. and his own Hey Moon label, and Paul Lagden, guitarist in Southend's own rock 'n roll reprobates The Wobbly Lamps. We also have Zoë Howe signing copies of her book Barbed Wire Kisses: The Jesus & Mary Chain Story, which is released exclusively to independent record shops that day.  Zoë has written acclaimed books on The Slits, Wilko Johnson, Florence & The Machine and is currently writing about Dr Feelgood legend Lee Brilleaux...
