Record Store Day, The Horrors competition etc.

A week on from Record Store Day so as good a time as any to say thanks to everybody that made it down, DJ'd and did singings.  Should've done this last week, but I was knackered, soz.

If you didn't get a chance to come down we had Zoë Howe signing copies of her Jesus & Mary Chain book, Barbed Wire Kisses (copies still available in-store, a month before it's official release), and we had DJ turns from Gregory Wells from Domino Records, Paul Lagden from the Wobbly Lamps and my mate Dean.  It was a busy old day, opening early, selling loads of Adam & The Ants reissues and then going to the pub after to stare at my drink in a tired haze.

We still have some RSD stock remaining - some Death Waltz soundtracks, Metamatic by John Foxx, Built To Spill, Fela Kuti, Medicine, MGMT, Whirlwind Heat etc.  Pop in and have a look, it won't be here forever.

More interestingly, we have a test pressing of the upcoming album by local-ish boys The Horrors.  It's a double LP in an exclusive screen printed sleeve (different to the commercial release) and a matching tote bag.  To win it all you have to do is pre-order the album HERE and we'll pick a name out of the hat

A quick note on Damon Albarn's upcoming solo album, the LP has been delayed and will be available two weeks after release.  The CD will be here on time though.

And finally, for those asking, we will be getting more copies of Thee Oh Sees 'Drop' LP, The Amazing Snakeheads 'Amphetamine Ballads' LP and Woods 'With Light & With Love' LP, all of which sold out really quickly.
