South Records is an independent record shop based at 24 Queens Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, SS1 1LU. We stock new and pre-owned vinyl, new CDs, and a wide range of genres for collectors and music fans of all kinds.

Our shop is open every day. Monday-Saturday 10.30am-4pm/Sunday + Bank Holiday 12pm-4pm

What We Stock

Our shop carries everything from indie, punk, disco, reggae, psychedelia, electronic (and everything within it), garage rock, soul, rock & roll, hip hop, metal, jazz, Krautrock, ambient, soundtracks, blues, folk, and much more. If you’re looking for something specific, chances are we either have it - or can find it for you.

Can’t Find What You’re Looking For?

If a title isn’t in stock, just email or message us. If it’s still in print, we can usually get it within a few days. If it’s something more obscure or rare, that’s exactly the kind of challenge we love - we’ll happily track it down for you.

Shipping & Packaging

All orders are shipped via Royal Mail. If you prefer a different carrier, contact us before purchasing and we can arrange it.

We use high-quality MusicMax and Lil Packaging card mailers with card stiffeners for safe delivery. If a record isn’t sealed, we’ll remove the vinyl from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits and place everything securely inside a PVC sleeve. If you'd like us to unseal a new record before shipping, just let us know after your order.
