South Records buys record collections of all sizes, from a few boxes to complete libraries. We’re based in Southend-on-Sea and buy collections across the UK.

If a collection is mainly pop, classical, or very common titles, we may not be the right buyer — but we’ll always be honest about that.

Condition & value

Condition matters. Clean, well-looked-after records will always be worth more, but interesting, rare, or in-demand titles can still have value even with wear. We price realistically based on what records actually sell for, not inflated online listings.

How selling works

Option 1: Send photos or a list
A few clear photos or a rough idea of what’s included is usually enough to start.

Option 2: In-person buying (larger collections)
For sizeable collections, we can travel anywhere in the UK to view and buy in person.

Option 3: Shop visit (by arrangement)
Smaller collections can be brought to the shop if that’s easier.
