Woo - When The Past Arrives
Emboldened by the success of the recent reissue of 'It's Cosy Inside', brothers Mark and Clive Iveshad a listen to hundreds of previously unreleased tracks recorded in the 70s and 80s to assemble their first new record in two decades, 'When the Past Arrives'. This is a collection of deceptively airy jams, addictive, crystalline. Woo is hard to categorize, their personal folktronica is the result of Mark's melodic guitar, clavinet, bass and vocals running through Clive's array of synthesizers, filters and effects, creating something unique and sadly still. Described as sounding like the music the Durutti Column would of made with Penguin Cafe Orchestra if produced by Brian Eno, On Drag City / Yoga.
