South Christmas Party w/ Modern Nature (live)

We're delighted to welcome Modern Nature, one of our favourite new bands, to Southend for our Christmas Party.It'll be taking place in the downstairs main bar at the Railway Hotel, Southend. Free entry, from 8pm.Modern Nature – the name taken from the title of Derek Jarman’s garden diaries – is the new project of Jack Cooper, ex of Ultimate Painting / Mazes and Will Young of Beak featuring Aaron Neveu of Woods and Sunwatchers’ Jeff Tobias on saxophone. Ethan Johns Live at South

Ethan Johns joins us for a gig in the shop to launch his new record, Anamneis on Sunday 12th August at 2pm. Pete Astor - Live at South

Pete Astor is a bloody legend (mate). He was in Creation Records darlings The Loft and The Weather Prophets, amongst many other great bands. You may have seen him play in Southend earlier this year, when we brought him to town.
