The next in the series of Talk Talk half-speed masters, The Colour Of Spring has been cut at half-speed by Matt Colton at Metropolis Studios, overseen by the band's drummer Lee Harris and Charlie Hollis, son of frontman Mark Hollis. Originally released in 1986, the album marks the band's move beyond the synth-pop of The Party's Over and It's My Life, laying the foundations for the improvisational approach they would fully embrace on Spirit Of Eden.
