Physical Closed Online Always Open

For the first time in our history we're going to be closing the doors for longer than a day. This is a real kick in the teeth for us as you can probably imagine. We're a small shop, selling a relative luxury, in a small town. Selling records is a precarious business at the best of times. We understand everybody's in a tricky position and records are not at the forefront of your mind, but we believe we're doing some good things here, and hopefully you also see some merit in what we do. Albums Of The Year 2019

Every year it's the same - "there's no good music anymore". I hear it every day, no doubt you hear it a lot too. But those people just aren't paying attention. I get it, it's hard to keep up with new music these days - there's no one authoritative voice championing things (John Peel, NME, etc), there's a lot of voices shouting about a lot of things and so it's easy to switch off and stick to what you know. Pete Astor - Live at South

Pete Astor is a bloody legend (mate). He was in Creation Records darlings The Loft and The Weather Prophets, amongst many other great bands. You may have seen him play in Southend earlier this year, when we brought him to town.
